Quetta, December 23: Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT), Bilal Khan Kakar has stated that a two-day Business Summit will be organized next month in Islamabad under the auspicious umbrella of the Government of Balochistan and BBoIT. The summit aims to explore new avenues for investment and development in Balochistan and will be a historic event for the province’s progress and the promotion of business activities. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial government is determined to transform Balochistan into a significant commercial and economic hub.He expressed these views during a meeting held at the BBoIT Karachi Regional Office, which was attended by Chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Mian Zahid Hussain, while the Chief Executive Officer of the Balochistan Board of Investment, Abdul Kabir Khan Zarkoon, United Business Group Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, and FPCCI Vice President Nasir Khan participated via Zoom.The meeting discussed preparations for the summit, along with strategies to highlight the province’s economic potential and ensure the event has meaningful and lasting impacts.It was stated in the meeting that the Balochistan Business Summit will host key federal and provincial decision-makers, local and foreign investors, industrialists, diplomats from friendly countries, and other stakeholders. During the two-day summit, the vast economic potential of Balochistan, particularly in sectors such as mining, energy, tourism, infrastructure, and other industries, will be highlighted. Opportunities in these sectors will be presented and considered for local and foreign companies.He further stated that the Balochistan Business Summit will play a vital role in strengthening Balochistan’s position in global partnerships and introducing it as a key economic player.
