In the contemporary era of digital competition, Balochistan government has also initiated several projects, aiming at digital transformation of the whole province. These reforms will ultimately set the path for the digital growth of Balochistan, enhancing Balochistan’s economic conditions, providing job opportunities for youth, and digitalizing relevant areas. Relatively, in a recent meeting with Information Technology (IT) officials Chief Minister of Balochistan urged the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for better governance, enhancing transparency, efficiency and performance in economic management and youth development initiatives. In addition, utilization of Artificial intelligence, Digitalization of various government institutions, and formation of Digital skills training programs will ultimately pave the way for inclusive growth.

Artificial Intelligence in Education and Governance

Chief minister of Balochistan has focused on integration of artificial intelligence in provisional systems. A recent initiative includes utilizing (AI) to access students’ cognitive abilities, under the Balochistan Education Endowment Program (BEEF) scholarship program, aiming to enhance meritocracy, creating a skilled workforce, targeted resource allocation and development planning.

Digital Road Map 2030

As per the purposed plan, Government of Balochistan has succeeded in achieving several objectives up till now. These objectives include;

Real-Time System Management: Government of Balochistan has successfully implemented this system in the field of education and health, monitoring, collecting, and responding to data and activities, and service delivery of the concerned departments. This system enables authorities to monitor staff attendance, medicine availability, and emergency response instantly.

Digitalization of Agriculture Sector

In the same manner, government of Balochis tan has committed to digitalize agricultural sector, the backbone of the country’s economic development. Water Resource Management is a notable reform regarding this, which aims to ensure the efficient and sustainable use of water. Keeping an eye on the contemporary need of farmers, the government is working on integrating digital tools like Mobile Applications, precision farming, and drones. Resultantly, these technologies will provide real-time information to farmers about whether conditions, crop management, and pest control, enhancing productivity.

Digitalization of Chaman

In a recent groundbreaking initiative government of Balochistan has succeded in digitalizting administration in Chaman. This initiative marked Chaman as the very first digitalized district, proving public services in some clicks. This initiative has materialized the dreams of E-Governance and E-Administration in Balochistan. The initiative will provide easy online services such as e-FIR registration, land mutation (e-Mutation), property records (fard), e-passport information, and local certificates including birth, death, and marriage registrations. These comprehensive reforms reflect the Balochistan government’s commitment to improving the province’s socio-economic landscape through targeted investments and policy initiatives. Under the leadership of DC Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangulzai, the system is designed to upheld transparency, eliminate delays, and minimize public hassle. Additionally, citizens will also receive SMS updates about progress of their applications, eliminating the need to stand in long queues and making the government services more efficient, accessible, and transparent for everyone in the district.
