Probationer Officers of Balochistan Civil Services Academy, Quetta Embark on Inland Study Tour, Engage with National Institutions

Quetta – The probationers of the 1st Pre-Service Training for Section Officers of the Balochistan Civil Services Academy (BCSA) have commenced a comprehensive inland study tour, designed to provide them with firsthand exposure to the operational mechanisms of key national institutions.

On the second day of the tour, the delegation visited pivotal organizations in the federal capital, including the National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) and the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) under the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The engagements focused on understanding Pakistan’s disaster risk management framework, early warning systems, and national preparedness protocols.

Subsequently, the officers visited the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination. Here, they were briefed on the interlinkages between climate change and disaster risks, national climate policies, and ongoing adaptation initiatives. The tour also included a session at the Planning Commission of Pakistan, offering insights into national development planning, resource allocation, and the integration of sustainable development goals into federal projects.

The study tour is being led by Mr. Nazar Muhammad Kakar, Chief Instructor, BCSA, and Mr. Muhammad Suhail, Directing Staff (Pre-Service), BCSA. The initiative aims to bridge theoretical training with practical governance, equipping the future civil servants of Balochistan with a broader perspective on national challenges and inter-governmental coordination.

This exposure is expected to enhance the probationers’ understanding of federal-provincial synergy in addressing critical issues related to disaster management, climate resilience, and strategic planning.
